A simple read for a complex topic!

I learned about this book in my search for resources as a sexual abuse counselor. One of many books listed on Lamplighters movement site(support for victims of incest or sexual abuse). Ideal for individual read, group therapy or for educational settings. Appreciation to Margaret, the author , for sharing her story and insight.

This book is a six step prgram that will help abuse victims transform their life for the better. The book gives you the tools to learn how to construct a mirror to change the bad messages to reflect healthy replaceed messages that the abuser has given to the abused. This book covers the fears that most people have since the abuse. It shows how to overcome problems and how to find the courage and healing. The best part of the book I think is the suggested websites that gives more insight to recover from the abuse.
I recommend this book to every one who has suffered from abuse or that knows someone who has. It is not easy to overcome abuse but this book can help everyone to understand better and to begin to heal from the abuse. I have given copies to friends and family of mine who I thought could and would benefit from it.

This book was a great help to me... I too needed to repair my life, and with this book I am getting there more each day.. I have read this book 3 times already and each time I read it I get more out of it each time... She is a good author as well..
